How much are educational lectures?

Educational lectures are $25 for members/$35 for non-members. Non-academic events such as art workshops, fine wine & culinary and others vary in pricing.

How do I become a member?

We would love to have you join! You can sign up three easy ways: online, by calling 828-526-8811 or stop by the office and we will be glad to get you signed up.

Do I need reservations or can I just show up?

For educational lectures, walk-ins are welcomed but pre-registrations are encouraged. For non-academic events, pre-registration is required.

I pre-registered but can't make it. Can I get my money back?

We will issue a full refund for any course cancelled with at least two weeks notice. Within the two week period prior to the class, there is no refund.

Can I bring a guest?

Members are allowed to bring guests at the member rate.

What time should I arrive?

Arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the lecture or class will give you time to park and sign-in.

Can I eat or drink in the lecture hall or classroom?

No food or drink is allowed in either location, although water coolers and cups are available.

The Center for Life Enrichment has been offering educational lectures and events since 1992

CLE is a continuing education, non-profit organization.  It has tax exempt status Under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS. 

Membership

CLE relies on memberships to support the organization.  Membership entitles attendees to reduced rates on lectures, workshops and events.  Certain levels of membership entitle attendees to attend some, or all, lectures free of charge.  

Community Support

CLE acknowledges support from the Center for Life Enrichment Endowment, a component fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation, the Cullasaja Women's Outreach and from the Highlands Chamber of Commerce.

 

Students Attend for FREE

All students who attend a high school, college or trade school are invited to attend lectures (value $25) at no charge. This is made possible through a grant from the Cullasaja Women's Outreach.
