In a world becoming more and more digitized, it’s important to understand the ins and outs of cashless and digital payment systems. iConnect instructor Loraine Smith will discuss how mobile payment apps work, how to set one up, what the usage fees are, and whether these payment systems are safe.

In this course, iConnect instructor Loraine Smith will show you various ways to clear up device space: clearing browsing history, clearing unwanted data from iOS, offloading unused apps, clearing duplicate contacts and photos, and more! Participants will also learn about battery health and how to preserve it, as well as familiarize themselves with bytes and sizes of digital documents, photos, and media.

In this course, participants will learn the “Rule of Thirds,” how to access different photographic styles via phone settings, how to take excellent videos, selfies, wide angle shots, etc., and where all these images are stored on one’s device. Participants will also explore some auto features that make photography easier for all experience levels!

More and more people of all ages are joining the social media scene, but with so many apps and platforms, it can be overwhelming! This course, presented by iConnect instructor Loraine Smith, will introduce participants to various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. Smith will explore the interface and navigation of these social media sites, what the app/site is intended for, the pros and cons of each platform, and how to set up a social media account or page.

Participants will learn how to access control center features, cast and mirror their screens, airdrop photos and videos, keep devices backed up and updated, manage passwords, change text size and boldness, access personal hotspots, personalize notification settings, and explore accessibility settings.

In this 1 hour class, iConnect instructor Loraine Smith will teach participants how to make the most out of Apple Books. Learn how to browse, purchase, and read ebooks and audiobooks, all from your Apple device. This course will also show participants how to navigate the Apple Books interface, as well as exciting ways to narrow search results for chart toppers, staff recommendations, new and trending titles, and books specifically recommended for the individual based on download history. This course is suitable for all levels.
