About the Event

Music for film, television, and video games occupies a unique position as  being the only performed music which (some say) is not intended to be  heard!  From classic of the Golden Age like King Kong (music by Max Steiner) to  The Adventures of Robin Hood (music by Erich Wolfgang Korngold) to  modern hits Out of Africa (music by John Berry) and Jaws (music by John  Williams) and more, this session will explore the role of music in the  cinema and how composers create artistically effective and enjoyable  soundtracks.
