About the Event
The art of Frottage, or “Rubbings,” is actually a simple form of printmaking that does not require a printing press. The class will begin with gathering botanical matter from the lush wildflowers, grasses and leaves on the grounds and garden at the Peggy Crosby Center. Our harvested specimens will be used to make rubbings on cotton vellum paper. This process will allow each student to attain faithful details of their botanical specimens which then become the basis of further creative exploration using watercolors and graphite accents.
