About the Event
The art of Frottage, or “Rubbings,” is a simple form of printmaking that does not require a printing press. The class will begin with gathering botanical matter from the lush wildflowers, grasses and leaves on surrounding facility grounds. Our harvested specimens will be used to make rubbings on two different surfaces; rice paper and vellum. This process will allow each student to attain faithful details of their botanical, which then becomes the basis of further creative exploration using collage materials, and watercolors. All Materials and Printing Equipment Provided.
