Learn to taste bourbon like an expert. Join Louisville-based bourbon authority Susan Reigler for a Bourbon Basics tasting. She will introduce you to what sets bourbon apart from the other world whiskeys and to three distinct bourbon styles - traditional, wheated, and bottled-in-bond. you'll also learn about the fascinating history of each brand tasted. Enjoy light appetizers.

Presenter: From 1992 to 2005, Reigler was restaurant critic and beverage columnist for the Louisville Courier-Journal. Currently she is a contributing writer to Bourbon+, American Whiskey Magazine (four which she writes whiskey tasting notes and ratings), LEO Weekly, and is bourbon columnist for Food & Dining and Covey Rise magazines. Reigler is past president of the Bourbon Women Association, has hosted tastings and has been featured in whiskey festivals throughout the United States. From 2020 to 2021 she served as president of the Kentucky chapter of les Dames d'Escoffier International, an organization of women culinary professionals. She is a Certified Executive Bourbon Steward, Indiana and Oxford Universities.
