This class serves up an interactive gumbo cooking demonstration (and tasting!). Chef Mark Ellis will guide you through a classic Cajun gumbo. you will learn how to create your own custom Cajun Spice Blend. Discover the Holy Trinity of Cajun/Creole cooking: onion, celery, and green pepper, as you embark on the official state dish. perfect a Louisiana roux for your smoky chicken and smoked sausage gumbo. In one pto, it represents everything to love about Louisiana cooking. There will also be a discussion and tasting of perfectly paired wines that complement the zesty and savory flavors of this New Orleans classic dish.
